In this section you will find a list of most of the essential oils out there on the market, So far is a list of them and what uses each one of them has soon i will be adding a part to this telling you how you can use them with your chakras and some other interesting little tid bits i discover. A
Angelica: (Angelica archangelica) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the seeds and roots. Its area of origin is China, Egypt, Spain and USSR.
Aroma: Earthy, slightly floral and musky
Mental/Spiritual: Throughout the ages, Angelica has been found to have exceptional qualities that help soothe and calm us. It has further been found to assist us in going back, to remember the origin of trauma, thus allowing us to release anger, helplessness and resentments.
Physical: Historically, Angelica has been used as an anticoagulant, appetite (stimulates), blood pressure (raises), digestion (stimulates), kidneys (stimulates), heart (strengthens). When used topically Angelica helps to relieve itching and rashes.
Caution:
Large doses may cause changes in blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory functions.Basil: (Ocimum Basilicum) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the whole plant. Its area of origin is Europe, Madagascar, Reunion, Seychelles, and the United States.
Aroma: An earthy-sweet green scent.
Mental/Spiritual : The spicy and invigorating constituents of Basil have historically been used to help alleviate mental fatigue. The ancients used Basil for courage, inner strength, and for spiritual purification.
Physical: This oil has traditionally and historically been us as an antispasmodic, appetite (stimulates), constipation, gas, headaches, nausea, wasp stings and snake bites. It may also help loss of smell (due to chronic nasal catarrh), and to increase milk flow in lactating mothers.Bergamot: (Citrus Aurantium Bergamia) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the peel of the fruit. Its area of origin is Guinea, Italy and Morocco.
Aroma: Delicate earthy, sweet-citric.
Mental/Spiritual: Science has found that Bergamot has about 300 chemical constituents. Historically Bergamot has been used for mental clarity. It has refreshing and uplifting qualities; and research has found that Bergamot successfully relieves some types of depression.
Physical: Bergamot has been used in the Middle East for hundreds of years for acne, boils, cold sores, eczema, infectious disorders, insect bites, insect repellent, oily complexion, psoriasis, scabies, spot varicose veins, ulcers, wounds, and sore throat.
Comments:Birch: (Betula Alleghaniensis) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the bark. Its area of origin is Germany, Holland and USSR.
- In ritual and in worship, the ancients used Bergamot for mental and spiritual clarity, and for protection.
Aroma: Earthy and minty.
Mental/Spiritual: Birch has been found to help unblock the feeling of being emotionally "stuck," by opening the mental and spiritual creative channels. This helps us to stop focusing on what we can't do or don't have, and helps us to focus on how or what we CAN do to change our situation.
Physical: The healing constituents in Birch have been found to have a cortisone-like action that has been found to be beneficial for bone, muscle and joint discomfort, for decreasing pain from arthritis, rheumatism, sports injuries, and tendinitis; and has historically been used to receive colds, fever, gout, indigestion, and bladder/kidney/urinary tract disorders, and to help eliminate intestinal worms.

- The ancients called Birch "Lady of the Woods" and it was used to honor and commune with the earth elements, to open creative channels and to mentally focus in order to align with the energy and cycles of earth.
Cassia: (Cinnamomum Cassia)
Physical: Cassia has been found to be anti-infectious, antibacterial and anticoagulant.Cedarwood: (Cedrus Atlantica) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the wood. Its area of origin is Europe, Mideast area, and North America.
Aroma: Woody and camphor-like.
Mental/Spiritual: The North American Indians historically have used this oil to intensify their spiritual communication with their Creator. When being psychically and mentally drained by others, Cedarwood has been used to boost the aura and to repel negativity. Further, Cedarwood�s healing constituents have been found to relieve nervous tension.
Physical: Historically Cedarwood has been recognized for its ability to detoxify and purify the physical system, and was used aromatically by the American Indians to purify their bodies by releasing toxins. It has been found to be beneficial for arthritis,acne, congestion, cough, cystitis, dandruff, hair loss, muscle cramps, psoriasis, sinusitis, and sprains.
Comments:Chamomile, German (Maticaria Recutita) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the flowers and leaves. Its area of origin is England, France, Hungary, and South America.
- The Egyptians so valued Cedar they imported and cultivated their Cedarwood to insure an unlimited supply. Historically, Cedarwood has been used to protect valuable papyrus documents from insects, as well as to make jewelry, furniture and ships.
- Egyptian coffins were always made of Cedar, and the oil of Cedar was used for mummification.
- Spiritually Cedar was used for protection, to boost the aura, and repel negativity.
Mental/Spiritual: Historically, Chamomile has been recognized for its ability to help reduce stress.
Physical: For over 3,000 years Chamomile has been recognized for its ability to relieve numerous disorders, including: Allergies, burns, cuts, hair care, inflammation of joints, insomnia, menopause, migraines, skin conditions (such as acne, boils, dermatitis, eczema rashes), stress-related complaints, toothaches, and teething pains.
Comments:Chamomile, Roman (Chamaemelum Nobile) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the flowers and leaves. Its area of origin is Bulgaria, England, France, Hungary, and Yugoslavia.
- Some manufacturers are selling Chamomile Maroc (ormenis multicaulis), which is not a true chamomile and should not be used as such.
Aroma: Sweet, fresh and fruity.
Mental/Spiritual: Thousands of years ago Chamomile was used by the ancient Romans enable the soldiers to go into battle with increased courage and a clear mind. Chamomile has also been found beneficial for alleviating anger, whining, restlessness, as well as to impart a feeling of calmness and peace.
Physical: Throughout the ages Chamomile has been recognized as anti-infectious, and to be helpful for bruises, cuts, insomnia, muscle tension, restless legs, scrapes. Further, in Europe Chamomile has been used extensively for skin disorders.
Comments:Cinnamon Bark: (Cinnamomum Verum) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the bark, leaves and twigs. Its area of origin is India, Madagascar and Sri Lanka.
- Some manufacturers are selling Chamomile Maroc (ormenis multicaulis), which is not a true chamomile and should not be used as such.
Aroma: Strong, sweet, warm, spicy.
Mental/Spiritual: Cinnamon Bark has been found to be mentally stimulating, and has historically been used for "fierce" self-understanding, as opposed to a sweet, angelic self-understanding. Biblically, Cinnamon is one of the oils in the formula that God gave to Moses (Exodus 20:22-27).
Physical: Cinnamon Bark has been produced in Sri-Lanka for over 2,000 years, and is has historically been used in the Middle East and Orient for overcoming viruses and infectious disorders. In his research, Dr. J.C. Lapraz found that viruses could not live in the presence of Cinnamon oil. It has been found to be a powerful oxygenator, purifier, and to synergistically enhance the effectiveness of other oils. Cinnamon has been found to be beneficial for colds, digestion, as a pain reliever, and to strengthen and revitalize tissues.
Comments:Cistus: (Cistus Ladaniferus)
- Because of its high phenol content dilute with VEGETABLE Oil before applying to delicate skin.
- The ancients believed Cinnamon was ruled by Mars (fire), and it was extensively used in rituals for its ability to �burn away� unwanted and/or negative thoughts, enabling them to focus with a clear mind. This allowed them to deeply contemplate on their relationship to themselves and the universe.
Physical: Cistus has been found to be high in phenols, which research indicates can increase oxygen, as well as to support and strengthen the auto-immune and immune systems.Citronella: (Cymbopogon Nardus) is a grass from which the oils are obtained from all the parts. Its area of origin is Madagascar and South America.
Aroma: Flowery, earthy, and citric.
Physical: Citronella has been found to be antiseptic, antibacterial, antispasmodic,and anti-inflammatory. It has also been found to be an excellent insecticide.Clary Sage: (Salvia Sclarea) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the flowering tops. Its area of origin is France, Spain and USSR.
Aroma: Bitter-sweet, spicy, and slightly citric.
Mental/Spiritual: Clary Sage has been used for centuries for meditation and spiritual communication. Modern research has found the healing constituents have sedative properties, which may slow the mind and help to relieve anxiety, post-natal depression, hysteria, and nervousness.
Physical: Historically, Clary Sage has been considered an aphrodisiac, because it has been found to help regulate the cells, balance hormones, and to alleviate circulatory problems. Any aphrodisiac effect is actually due to the body responding to the essential oils by realigning and balancing. If you have no imbalance, there will be no effect. Has also been found to help relieve hemorrhoids.
Comments:Clove: (Eugenia Caryophyllus) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the flower buds. Its area of origin is East & West Indies, Molucca Islands, and Philippines.
- The ancients considered Clary Sage to be an oil of protection and psychic sight, and was used to heighten spiritual visions. Clary Sage is one of the most popular spiritual oils.
Aroma: Spicy and pungent.
Mental/Spiritual: The healing constituents in Clove have been found to be calming, yet stimulating enough to reduce fatigue. Clove has also been used for alleviating hypertension.
Physical: The healing constituents in Clove have been found to be anti-infectious, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and antiseptic. It is used in some European hospitals for acne (infectious), bronchitis, cholera, colitis, cystitis, dental infections, dysentery (bacterial amoebic), fatigue, flu, hepatitis (viral), hypertension, radiation detoxification, sinusitis, thyroid dysfunction, tuberculosis. Is has also been used as an anti-tumoral, immune stimulant, and topical anesthetic.
Comments:Coriander: (Coriandrum Sativum) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the seeds of ripe fruit and leaves. Its area of origin is India, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, United States and USSR.
- Clove is high in phenols which makes it "hot" on the skin, so dilute with vegetable oil when using on sensitive skin.
- The ancients used Clove incense for heightened spiritual contemplation.
- Clove is such a powerful oil it has been used to sterilize surgical instruments!
Mental/Spiritual: Coriander has historically been used for its sedative properties.
Physical: Research from Cairo University has shown that this Coriander oil lowers glucose levels by normalizing insulin levels and supporting the functions of the pancreas, and has anti-inflammatory properties. Some people have reported some aphrodisiac effects (Any aphrodisiac effect is actually due to the body responding to the essential oils by realigning and balancing. If you have no imbalance, there will be no effect.
Comments:Cumin, Black (Cuminum Cyminum) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the seeds and fruit. Its area of origin is India, Mediterranean, Morocco, and Sicily.
- The seeds of Coriander were used by the ancient Hebrews to celebrate Passover.
- Coriander was also considered sacred to the Arabs, Egyptians and Hindus where it was associated with love, immortality and peace.
Aroma: Strong, earthy scent.
Physical: Commonly found in Egypt, Black Cumin has historically been used to help with acid balance, digestion, to relieve gas, to support the immune system (immune-stimulation), stomach disorders, and tumors. It is antiseptic, antispasmodic, and carminative.
Comments:Cypress: (Cupressus Sempervirens) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the leaves and twigs. Its area of origin is Mediterranean and the Mideast.
- The ancients believed that a daily pinch of Cumin increased sexual virility and also used it for prosperity and protection.
Aroma: Earthy, woody, spicy pine-type of scent.
Mental/Spiritual: Cypress has been recognized for its sedative properties, and has been found beneficial for anxiety, nervousness and restlessness.
Physical: Traditionally, the healing constituents have been found to be beneficial for improving lung circulation, decongesting the circulatory and lymphatic systems, and may help with edema, cellulite, varicose veins and water retention. It is anti-infectious, antibacterial and antimicrobial.
Comments:
- Some ancient remedies (especially the Chinese), do not clearly distinguish between Cedar (thuja) and Cypress.
Davana: (Artemisa Pallens)
Physical: Davana has been found to be anti-infectious, stimulating to the endocrine system (stimulating), eases gas, soothing for rough, dry and chapped skin, reduces painful scaring, eases spasms, and may help improve hormonal balance.Dill: (Anethum Graveolens) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the fruit and seeds. Its area of origin is in the Mediterranean.
Physical: Research at Cairo University has indicated that Dill oil to helps to lower glucose levels by normalizing insulin levels and supporting the functions of the pancreas. In European hospitals Dill has been used for bronchial catarrh and liver deficiencies.Historically Dill has been used as an antispasmodic, appetite (stimulant), to ease cramps, for gas, halitosis, and upset stomach.

- The ancients believed Dill was a blessing from the God/desses, and used for clear thinking and to repel negative energies.
Eucalyptus Globulus: (Eucalyptus Globulus) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the leaves and twigs. Its area of origin is Australia, Brazil, China, Spain and Tasmania.
Aroma: Very powerful mint-camphor like scent.
Physical: Research has found Eucalyptus to be a powerful herb when dealing with viruses of the respiratory system. The oil contains eucalyptol, which has been found to be antibacterial, anti-catarrhal, anti-fungal, antiseptic, Anti-viral, an expectorant, and mucolytic. This is a strong oil that should be diluted when used on sensitive skin.Eucalyptus Radiata: (Eucalyptus Radiata) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the leaves and twigs. Its area of origin is Australia and Tasmania.
Aroma: Very powerful mint-camphor like scent
Physical: This Eucalyptus has been found to be anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious,antibacterial, Anti-viral, anti-catarrhal and an expectorant. It has been found to be beneficial for acne, bronchitis, candida, cystitis, ear, (inflammation), endometriosis, flu, hay fever, iris (inflammation of), nasal mucous membrane (inflammation), nasal nasopharynx, pyorrhea, sinusitis, vaginitis. This is a strong oil and should be diluted when used on sensitive skin.

- The first known distillation of Eucalyptus oil was in the Australian Blue Mountains of New South Wales in 1788 by two doctors, Dr. John White and Dr.Dennis Cossiden, who distilled Eucalyptus Piperata for treating chest/lung disorders and colic.
Fennel: (Foeniculum Vulgare) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the seeds. Its area of origin is Northern Europe, India, Japan, Mediterranean, Romania, and USSR
Aroma: Earthy and fresh with a hint if licorice scent.
Physical: Fennel has historically been found to be beneficial as an antispasmodic, antiseptic and stimulating to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, to help stop bed wetting, to support digestive functions, to reduce gas, and to ease rheumatic pain. Historically, Fennel has been used for its hormone-like activity which may help balance hormones, facilitate delivery, and increase the production of milk.
Comments:Fir: (Abies Alba) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the needles. Its area of origin is Europe and United States.
- In Medieval times Fennel was called Fenkle, and was used to ward off "evil spirits," (bacteria, viruses, etc)
- Also to intensify �white magic,� and to counter "black magic".
Aroma: Fresh, woody, pine-camphor type scent.
Mental/Spiritual: Historically Fir has been used as a grounding oil which imparts a clear mind as well as a feeling of personal empowerment.
Physical: Fir has traditionally been used to help support the body and reduce the symptoms of arthritis, bronchitis, colds, coughs, flu, fevers, rheumatism, and sinusitis. Research has found Fir to be beneficial in fighting airborne germs and bacteria, and is antiseptic, anti-catarrhal, anti-arthritic and stimulating.
Comments:Frankincense: (Boswellia Carterii) ) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the bark. The areas of origin is China, Ethiopia, Somalia, and South Arabia.
- In Medieval times Fir was used as an incense to protect a new mother and her infant from "negative energies" (illness).
Aroma: Balsamic, slightly peppery, spicy (wonderful) scent.
Mental/Spiritual: The sesquiterpenes contained in Frankincense have been found to help to oxygenate the pineal and pituitary glands (by about 28%), which is invigorating and elevating to the mind, thus helps in overcoming depression and helps to create euphoria (Research has found that Frankincense may be beneficial for alleviating the symptoms of Bipolar Disorder also known as manic depression).
Physical: Frankincense was well known for its healing powers during the time of Christ, and is now being researched and used therapeutically in European hospitals. It has been found to be anti-catarrhal, anti-tumoral, anti-viral (pinene); found to be helpful for asthma, as an expectorant, immune- stimulating (80% plus), prevents scarring (cicatrisants), and eases ulcers.
Comments:
- Frankincense has been held sacred in the Middle East for thousands of years:
- The three wise men brought this oil to the baby Jesus.
- The Babylonians Frankincense to honor their sun god Bel.
- The Chaldeans used it as the main sacred oil of the priesthood.
- The pagans used frankincense to invoke the male gods Apollo and Adonis, as well as the goddesses Demeter and the moon goddesses.
- Roman Catholics used Frankincense in their masses.
- The main spiritual use in ancient times was for improved communion with their Creator.
- Aside from its spiritual application, ancient manuscripts indicate that Frankincense was also used for leprosy and as an antidote for hemlock.
Galbanum: (Ferula Gummose) ) is a plant from which the oils are obtained from the bark. Its area of origin is Cape of Good Hope, Iran and Lebanon.
Physical: Galbanum has been recognized for its anti-viral properties, and overall body strengthening and supporting properties. Galbanum's frequency is low compared to other oils, but when combined with oils as Frankincense or Sandalwood, the frequency significantly increases.
Comments:Geranium: (Pelargonium Graveolens) is a plant from which the oils are obtained from the flower, leaves and stalks. Its area of origin is Algeria, China, Egypt, France, Madagascar, Morocco, and USSR.
- Galbanum was an oil used by Moses, and written about in the book of Exodus, and has historically been used for both medicinal and spiritual purposes.
Aroma: A slightly green, rose and mint type of scent.
Emotional/Spiritual: Geranium has historically been used for its cleansing effect on the emotions by clearing the solar plexus area (3rd Chakra). The aroma helps to release negative memories, and to impart a sense of hope and well-being. geranium has also been found to have sedative properties.
Physical: Research has found that Geranium may have the ability to regenerate tissue and nerves; it is reported to help balance the hormones, and has been used for cancer (breast and uterine), endometriosis and menopause disorders. Further, it has been found to be helpful in discharging toxins from the blood and liver; to support kidney function, has been used for centuries for skin care, and has been found to be excellent for the skin of expectant mothers.
Comment:Ginger: (Zingiber Officinale) is a plant from which the oils are obtained from the roots. Its area of origin is China, India, Japan, and West Africa.
- Pure Geranium is extracted from the species Pelargonium (also known as Geranium Robert or Lemon Plant), which are abundant in Greece (not from the pretty flowers).
Aroma: Strong, cool and spicy.
Physical: Ginger has been used in the East for thousands of years for the relief of loss of appetite, arthritis, catarrh, chills, circulation (stimulates), colic, congestion, constipation, coughs, cramps, diarrhea, fever, flu, indigestion, infection, menstrual (cramps and regulation), morning sickness, motion sickness, muscular aches and pains, rheumatism, sinusitis, sprains, and sore throats.
Comments:Grapefruit: (Citrus Paradisii) is a tree from which the oils are obtained from the rind of the fruit. Its area of origin is Israel and North America.
- The ancients believed that when Ginger was eaten, worn or taken in an infusion it would bring health, vitality and protection
Aroma: A delicate citrus type of scent.
Physical: Grapefruit has been found to be a disinfectant, and has been used for alleviating cellulite, digestive disorders, obesity, and water retention.Helichrysum: (Helichrysum Italicum)
Frequency: 181.
Mental/Spiritual: The healing constituents found in Helichrysum have been found to help eliminate physical and emotional barriers caused by holding on to anger and resentment. When we are unable to forgive or let go of past pain, our bodies can create physical and emotional blocks that can be detrimental to our physical and emotional health.
Physical: European researchers have found Helichrysum to help regenerate tissue, reduce tissue pain, help to improve circulatory function and to be beneficial for skin disorders; it has been used as an anti-catarrhal, anticoagulant, antispasmodic, to help regulate cholesterol, as an expectorant. Further, it has been found to be beneficial viral hepatitis, in stimulating liver cell function, as a mucolytic, to prevent phlebitis, and to reduce scaring and skin discoloration. In 1991 Gary Young, the founder of Young Living Essential Oils,discovered the pain-reducing benefits of Helichrysum and in 1992 discovered its benefits in helping to improve certain hearing losses.Hyssop: (Hyssopus Officinalis) is an herb from which the oils are obtained from the flowering tops and leaves. Its area of origin is Brazil, Southern Europe and Israel.
Aroma: A woody, sweet and spicy scent.
Emotional/Spiritual: Hyssop has Biblically been used for emotional/spiritual/ritual cleansing.
Physical: Hyssop has been found to be anti-catarrhal, anti-inflammatory (especially of the pulmonary), anti-infectious, anti-parasitic, antispasmodic, and anti-viral. It has been found to be beneficial in opening the respiratory system and in discharging toxins and mucous, as a decongestant, mucolytic, in regulating lipid metabolism and to prevent scarring.
Comments:
- Traditionally Hyssops has been used for physical and ritual purification
- The Hebrews used Hyssop bunches to paint lamb's blood over their doors during what is known today as Passover, as a sign that they were pure (believers) so that the angel of death would pass their homes.
- In Psalms 51:7 it states, "Purify me with hyssops and I shall be clean (ceremonially); wash me and I shall be whiter than snow (spiritually).
- Hyssop was also placed over windows and doors to dispel negative energies, spirits and to repel unwanted visitors.
- During WWI when medical supplies were scarce, it was found that when Hyssop leaves were placed directly on the skin it helped heal wounds and infections. It was later discovered that the mold that grows on the hyssops is a form of penicillin.
Jasmine: (Jasminum Officinale) is a bush from which the oils are obtained from the flowers. Its area of origin is Algeria, China, Egypt, France and Morocco.
Aroma: A full, rich and sweet floral scent.
Mental/Spiritual: Jasmine has been found to be beneficial for depression, mood swings and nervous exhaustion. For hundreds of years, the scent of Jasmine been considered to be an aphrodisiac.
Physical: The healing constituents in Jasmine have been found to be helpful for catarrh, coughs, frigidity, hoarseness, labor pains, laryngitis, muscle spasms, sprains, and uterine disorders. Further, it has been found to be beneficial for the skin, reducing problems such as dry, oily, irritated and/or sensitive skin. For hundreds of years, the scent of Jasmine been considered to be an aphrodisiac.
Comments:
- Jasmine has been held sacred for thousands of years and has been associated with the Goddess aspect of the universe, and identified with Diana of Ephesus, Quan Yin, and the Virgin Mary.
- The incense or oil was used for protection, to cleanse the aura and to uplift the emotions.
Juniper Berry: (Juniperus Communis) ) is a bush from which the oils are obtained from the berries. Its area of origin is Africa (north), America (north), Asia (north), and Europe.
Aroma: A fresh, warm and pine-woody scent.
Physical: Juniper has historically been used as a detoxifier and cleanser, in relieving skin disorders such as acne, dermatitis, eczema; to alleviate arthritis, and joint pain; has been used to promote better adrenal, nerve and kidney circulation/function, and to alleviate bed wetting.
Comments:K
- Do not use Juniper if pregnant or if you have a kidney disorder (see your health care practitioner as Juniper can over-stimulate kidneys).
- The Juniper was considered a holy tree in Northern Europe, and when mixed it with Wild Thyme it was used in divination and as a trance inducer.
Laurus Nobilis: Also known as Bay, Bay laurel, Bay Tree, Daphne, Grecian Laurel, Indian Bay, Roman Laurel, Sweet Bay, Tree Laurel. the oils are obtained from the leaves and fruit. Its area of origin is the Mediterranean Sea area.
Mental/Spiritual: Historically and Biblically this oil has been used for increased assertiveness, inspiration and victory. In modern times, it has been found to be especially helpful for any type of creative work.
Physical: Historically this oil has been used as an astringent, bruises, chest problems, colds, digestive, diuretic, fungicide, insect repellant, rheumatism, skin problems, as well as a food spice.
Comments:Lavender: (Lavandula Officinalis) ) is a plant from which the oils are obtained from the flowering tops. Its area of origin is England, France, Tasmania, and Yugoslavia.
- In ancient rituals Laurus Noblis was used to worship the god Apollo
- For attracting love, the leaves were tossed into a fire.
Aroma: An earthy yet sweet, smooth floral scent.
Mental/Spiritual: Lavender has been found to be stimulating when taken in large doses, but calming in moderate doses. It has been used for depression, hysteria, insomnia, nervous exhaustion, clinical shock and stress.

- Lavender is known as the universal oil, and I was taught, "When in doubt, use Lavender."
- The Chicago Tribune reported that research at the University of Wisconsin found that Lavender decreased breast and pancreatic tumors in rats.

Physical: Historically, Lemon oil has been found to be beneficial for dissolving cellulite, to help the eyes with micro-circulation helpful for cataracts and poor eyesight (but do NOT USE IN the eyes), as an immune stimulant, to promote leukocyte formation, to increase lymphatic function, helps rough, dry skin, and to balance pH to a more alkaline state. Emotional/Spiritual: The healing constituents in Lemongrass have been found to have a sedative affect.
Physical: Traditionally, Lemongrass has been used to improve circulation, oxygen flow, for purification (especially the lymphatic system); may be beneficial for the digestive system and has been reported to help regenerate connective tissue. Mental/Spiritual: To date, science has done very little research on White Lotus, but when we look to its history it is not surprising to find that the fragrance has been found to be very alluring, mysterious, sensual, and soothing.
Physical: White Lotus oil has been revered as one of the most exotic and treasured flowers in ancient Egypt, and was considered the foundation of medicine as it historically has been found effective in preventing diabetes, as well as recognized for its anti-cancerous properties.

- In ancient Rome, Marjoram was the sacred herb of the Goddess Venus.

- Paracelsus called Melissa the "Elixir of Life." In the seventeenth century he combined Melissa with carbonate of potash to produce a compound known as Primum Ens Melissae, which is still in use today.
- In matters of a broken heart, Melissa was used to heal the heart both physically and emotionally.
