CHAMBER THREE POETRY

Spirit Of Our Nation

From the snow covered mountains to the open dusty plains
There is a spirit that sacred to our nation
It is present in every women and it's present in every man
It is the spirit of our nation, it is the spirit of our land

For the spirit of our nation is reflected in every plant and tree
In our mountain ranges in the valleys and our streams
We are a land of many people
And we are proud of where we have been

From the kiwi to the weka there is beauty to be seen
It is in every city and it's present in every town
We are land of natural beauty living beneath the southern skies
We are a nation of natural wonder and we are second to none

We are the nation of New Zealand
We will welcome you with open arms
For the pride of our great nation will always be present in our hearts
The spirit of our nation will always be present throughout this land
As we live as one nation united beneath the southern skies

Thoughts & Emotions

I have loved and been hurt by love
I have seen joy and yet there is pain
I have breathed and yet i am breathless
In your presence
Consumed by your beauty the essence of love

I have walked a thousand miles in my shoes
On a road which never ends
Through the driving rains many tears have fallen
Swept up in the passage of time

My heart will linger in the moonlight
As i breathe the ocean breeze tonight
For on the horizon there is a new day
A story still left untold

For the dreamer dreams of hope
And a lover feels with their heart
So why is it human nature
For us to tear ourselves apart

Inspiration

From the depths of humanity
It is inspiration that springs forth
And as we climb to the top of the mountain

It is the spirit of humanity
That will rise above adversity
And soar across the heavens
Where the wild eagles fly

And as we sit beside the watering hole
To rest for a while
It is inspiration that will lift our heads
As we look to the horizon

Where our hopes and dreams reside
It is inspiration that will over come adversity
In a world of constant change

Spirit Of New Zealand

From the mountain ranges
To the valleys and the plains
The spirit of New Zealand
Is sacred to our land

From our oceans to our streams
The spirit of this great nation
Will forever flow free
For we are proud of our heritage
And we know where we have been

The beauty of our nation
Is in every plant and every tree
And our wildlife is unique
And indigenous to our land

The spirit of New Zealand
Is in our cities and our homes
And we will carry it with pride
Wherever we may roam

For the spirit of New Zealand
Is in our hearts and our souls
And is the spirit of every one of us
Who call New Zealand home

Spirit Of Humanity

From the depths of  imagination
Where inspiration dwells within the spirit of humanity
And as we climb to the mountain top where adversity resides
May we arise to meet the challenge
As we move forward in our lives

As we wander through the wilderness
Where adversity and fear reside
May we rise through the spirit of humanity
And overcome the despair of our lives

As we look upon the world below
Through spirit of humanity
May we hold our heads with pride
As we look towards the heavens
May the heavens light fire in our lives

The spirit of humanity will soar across the heavens
To meet the whispering winds of change upon the horizon
May the spirit of humanity light the fire
That will keep our hopes and dreams alive

Beneath The Northern Lights

Upon the setting sun
On the eve of the longest night
The day surrenders to the darkness
As the light fades out of sight

The bitter cold comes biting
In a land dressed all in white
The northern lights will glisten
Upon the surface of the ice

And as the winds begin to dance
Upon the surface of the ice
In a land of natural spender
Hidden beneath the northern lights

Old man winter will give the chant
As the winds perform their dance
Upon the surface of the ice
So cold, so cold, so cold

Spirit Of Us All

Beyond the valley mist the wolves howl
By the bay as the moon dawns on the horizon
Stars cascade across the heavens
Mirrored reflections of the soul of humanity
Fresh in the minds of man like the beacons in the heavens

Long lost thoughts of yesterday quicken like the sands of time
Confusion and illusion reflect the stories of human pain and suffering
But like the eagle the human spirit shall rise in the moonlight
To battle adversity in the cold light of day
Where the hearts of the wicked shall be turned to stone
By the spirit of mans innocence

The stillness of the body, The sounds of broken waves
Cold mist consumes a shoreline as mankind release their bonds
As the dust scatters upon the winds of time
Humanity will rise again to take shelter from the pouring rains
For the spirit can be broken if the heart is turned to stone

But for the spirit of man can be broken then rise up again
To meet the challenge of adversity and the deliverance of pain
Soaring like an eagle across the heavens is the spirit of us all
A world of many nations drifting across the evening sky

I Am

I am the motion of the wind as it rustles through the trees
I am the sound of white waves upon the ocean
As they rush to meet the shore
I am the mountain ranges
I am the rivers and the streams

I am the seed of every flower, plant, and tree
I am the one that moves in silence as i tremble beneath your feet
I am the essence of shifting sands
As they move across the dusty plains

I am the power of the storm the sounds of thunder
Of lighting flashes and pouring rains,
I am the clouds that drift above you as you look up to the skies
I am the essence of all life as we move throughout the night
So as you look to the heavens know that i am near

I am the one that moves in silence as we move
Through the evening skies upon the solar winds
Know me, I am earth, I am living now listen hear me breathe
And know i am the one and only and there is nothing else like me
