CHAMBER POETRY

Antartica

In this barren frozen waste land
Nestled out of sight
Lives the gifts of natures wonders
In this land covered in snow and ice

Dressed In all his finery
The emperor penguin is standing tall
Their little friendly neighbor the adelie penguin
What a beautiful sight he makes

And what about the tern
That soars high above them
In this wasteland that mother nature
Chose to dress in white

And then there's the beauty of the leopard seal
That lives upon the ice
hunting for his meal
In Antarctica's icy ocean blue

Or the wonder of mother nature
The blue whale that lives in the waters
Of this picturesque wonderland
At the bottom of the world hidden out of sight

Forest Dream

The mighty forest stood tall in nature's beauty
Majestic and full of wonder as i walk along the track
The flowers of the forest awaken in the early morning light
The birds high above in the tree tops sing their happy song

The smell of pine and was present in the air
The sounds of the water flowing in the river to my right
The beauty of the wild flowers growing
In the meadow just ahead

The amazement of watching the wild horses roam
As they were chewing on the tall storks of grass
The wonderful beauty of the sky above
As lay there in the meadow watching the birds flying up above

I hear the sounds of a waterfall in the distance
So off i went to see the majesty of nature's wonder
That i could hear in front of me

The beauty of the river as i approached the waterfall
Took my breath away as the water heads down stream
Giving life to the beauty of nature in my forest dream

Heart

The heart is like an open book
With pages still unwritten
Of dreams and aspirations
That fill us all with hope

The heart is like a wishing well
For all our life's desires
That leads us on our journey
For all that is to come

The heart is like the deepest ocean
Filled with all emotions
That gives us all new feeling
As we travel on our way

The heart is the well being
Of hope and human kindness
That drives the world today
As we travel through our lives
May it lead us all the right way

Savanna

Grassy plains of the savanna
In the heart land of Africa
Were the wild elephants roam
Sounds of his trumpet lets
Everybody know that this is his home

The springbok feed off the grasslands
As the lion sits in wait
Peering through the brushes
Waiting for the right moment to make his strike

When the springbok sees the danger and jumps to get away
The loin makes his move and this begins the chase
Which ever one is faster will win this final race

The hippopotamuses watches closely
As he sits there in the lake
The vulture watches closely from his lofty position high above
Hoping in the end that he will get a little taste

The chimpanzee finds this funny
As he laughs and looks in glee
Watching from high above as he swings in the trees

Sunsets & Sunrises

Sunrise uopn the southern alps
As the stars fade out of sight
A sweet and sunny morning
Where there are no clouds in sight
An adventure on the horizon
As i head out on my way
And what ever shall come before me
I will accept
As i live my life today

The promised Land

May the eyes of all
Open to the truth
That racialism Is lost
And that the world is one

For a nation that live
In a land of truth
Will see that each nation
Lives in a world of
Dreams and aspirations

A world of hope and love
For the Legacies of freedom
And humanities preservation
To survive as one

For when it comes down to the end
If we open the vein of life at the centre
We will all bleed just the same

So to the end it is safe to say
Don't look to the future
This is the promised land
And only we can make the change

Winter

As the howling winds rip past the high rises
As the snow begins to fall
Grey clouds filled with lightning
Delivers the winter fury to us all

As day falls into night
The chilling bite of winter grips the city
As the snow fall passes by the city lights

Snow settles on the roof tops and on the city streets
Turning this city once filled with colour
Into a city filled with white

As the hail hits my window
I watch the storm outside
The river freezes over
On the coldest night

And when the storm is over
And the sunrise meets the dawn
The only thing in sight
Is the city left behind
Surrounded by the snow fall
That left the city white

Martian Sunset

Purple Clouds drift slowly across
The heavens in the martian sky
With the dust storms to the west
It lays claim the landscape
As i look out over the horizon
I see the mighty mount olympus
Resting quietly below the Martian sky

The beauty of the landscape
As the setting sun fades out of sight
As the purple clouds drift by slowly
In the evening martian sky

As they give their blessing to the martian soil
In a land that never changes
For the rain will turn to ice

For the atmosphere on mars
Leaves a mystery of emptiness in my heart
As the sun sinks slowly out on the horizon
And the day becomes the night
